Dear friends

When Iceland was first suggested to me…I thought: “really ??”. And then I found out what an incredible place this is! A perfect place to hold a choir festival for treble choirs!! Safe…Beautiful…Fun…and culturally interesting!

Iceland bridges North America and Europe – literally straddling the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Nestled 5.5 hours from the East Coast, Iceland is a peaceful country infused with Northern European traditions and blessed with more natural beauty than the eye can take in.

We’ll take our voices to Reykjavik and sing as a combined festival choir with fine local accompanying musicians. Those that wish it can sing in individual choir performances. We will see some of the world’s most magnificent waterfalls, view shooting geysers and other unique geo thermal activity as well as soak up the natural springs boasting abundant thermal water. We will also marvel as the sun sets late at night in this, the world’s most northerly capital city.

Above all we will enjoy the calmness and sense of security that comes from being in a small island country! For those that wish it, there is an extension to Akureyri, Iceland’s second city further North or custom tour extensions to a number of European cities many of which are less than just 3 hours flight from Reykjavik.

Iceland really is a gateway between cultures. I truly would like for this to be one of the most incredible festivals I have ever conducted! I promise…there won’t be too much repertoire to learn, but we will make phenomenal music together.

I hope you will seriously consider this tour/festival opportunity. I would love to see you join us. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
