DAY 1: Depart home and travel to Istanbul.
DAY 2: Arrive in Istanbul and take an orientation tour of the city’s key sites before checking-in to your hotel.
DAY 3: Tour the Hagia Sophia, visit the Hippodrome, and explore Istanbul’s Old City. In the afternoon, meet and perform an exchange concert with a local ensemble in Istanbul.
DAY 4: Leave Istanbul and travel to Bursa. Along the way, stop at Iznik, called Nicaea in ancient times, to learn about the Roman and Ottoman history of the city.
DAY 5: Discover Bursa on a guided tour of the city, and see the Ulu Cami (Grand Masque), Grand Bazaar, Yeşil Türbe (Green Tomb) and Old City Wall. In the evening, perform a concert in one of Bursa’s incredible venues.
DAY 6: Drive to the city of Izmir on the Aegean coast and meet and perform an exchange concert with a local ensemble.
DAY 7: Take a day trip to Ephesus, built in the 10th century BCE, and explore this UNESCO World Heritage site and the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world.
DAY 8: Visit the ruins of the ancient city of Pergamum, and head Northwest to Çanakkale. Explore the city, learn more about its role in the Trojan Wars, and check-in to your hotel.
DAY 9: Discover the history of Troy on a day trip to the ancient city, and perform a concert in Çanakkale.
DAY 10: Travel to the Gallipoli battlefields to experience the history of the tragic World War I campaign for the Dardanelles and pay tribute to the fallen.
DAY 11: Transfer to the airport to begin your journey home
