Ireland Choral Festival with Dr. Joshua Palkki

Ireland Choral Festival

WITH DR. JOSHUA PALKKI

Tour Dates: June 16 – 21, 2027

Galway + Dublin

Artistic Vision: Uplifting Voices Through Inclusivity

Led by Dr. Joshua Palkki, this unforgettable choral experience centers on gender inclusivity, gender diversity, and the voices of historically marginalized composers and arrangers. With a focus on uplifting LGBTQA singers and stories, the festival creates space for powerful musical commentary on equity and authentic expression.

Why Ireland?

Galway is an Irish gem where traditional music and modern identity coexist in harmony. Between rehearsals and performances, you’ll explore cobblestone streets, coastal cliffs, and a community known for its ongoing embrace of new musical inspiration and openness. The opportunity to extend your trip and get inspired by Dublin’s evocative, story-rich history would allow your ensemble to explore more of Ireland’s natural and cultural beauty.

Dear Friends,

I’m honored to invite you to join me for the 2027 Ireland Choral Festival in whimsical, western Ireland.

The values this festival will amplify are those central to my work as a conductor and educator—centered on gender inclusivity, the celebration of diverse identities, and a commitment to justice through music. Together, we’ll elevate and project composers and arrangers from historically marginalized populations and create space for authentic, equity-driven music-making that uplifts every voice. Let’s imagine and redefine together how choirs and choristers can express their individuality, as well as showcase our passion to represent our authentic selves.

Galway is an extraordinary setting for this work. Known for its vibrant culture and coastal beauty, it’s a place where tradition and progress live side by side. With a possible extension available in Dublin, you’ll experience the warmth of the Irish people, explore dramatic natural landscapes, and explore inspiring music and narratives in spaces that invite true connection.

This festival is designed for youth ensembles, high school and collegiate music education programs, and progressive faith-based choirs. Each ensemble will have the opportunity to perform individually and as part of a powerful shared Gala Concert experience.

I hope you’ll consider bringing your ensemble to this unforgettable festival. I can’t wait to make meaningful music together in Galway.

With pride and anticipation,
