Artistic Vision: Hope and Beauty Through Music

Led by Jake Runestad, this stimulating choral experience for more seasoned ensembles explores the deep connection between music, hope, and human resilience. Centered on themes of building community, seeking beauty, and finding hope in the face of adversity, the festival invites ensembles to engage in music-making that is not only emotionally rich, but also uplifts and unifies community—both choral and at-large.

Why Austria?

With its grand concert halls, café-lined streets, and rich musical legacy, Vienna, Austria offers an inspiring backdrop for this transformative journey. From Mozart to Beethoven to its thriving contemporary composers, the city has long celebrated music as a cultural cornerstone—where your ensemble will become a part of that fabric, both historical and current. Completed with a robust itinerary of cultural immersion in Munich and Salzburg, along with the opportunity to extend the experience and perform in nearby Prague; the region’s vibrant arts scene offer a memorable complement to Vienna’s classical elegance.

This Festival is Great For

High School Ensembles

University Ensembles

Adult/Community Ensembles

Dear Friends,

I’m thrilled to invite you to join me for my Austria Choral Festival—an immersive musical journey set in the historic heart of Vienna, Austria.

This festival is built around themes I care deeply about: hope, beauty, and the transformative power of music to build community and foster compassion. Together, we’ll create a shared musical experience that’s emotionally rich, uplifting, and deeply human.

Designed especially for high school, university, and adult/community choirs, this festival provides space for individual ensemble performances as well as a combined festival choir experience. Our Gala Concert will take place in one of Vienna, Austria’s stunning venues, where the legacy of Mozart, Beethoven, and Mahler still echoes today.

I hope you’ll consider joining me in Austria for a festival that promises to inspire, connect, and uplift every singer who participates.

Warmly,

Jake Runestad
